Write clear product titles and descriptions
Use words a customer would naturally use to identify the product. Put the most important identifying details near the beginning.
A simple title formula
Brand + product type + model + important size or specification + variant
| Too vague | More useful example |
|---|---|
| Best bottle special offer | Stainless Steel Water Bottle – 750 ml – Blue |
| Super powerful fan | [Brand] [Model] 16-inch Pedestal Fan – White |
These are examples. Include only details that are true for your product. Avoid repeated keywords, unrelated brands, all-capital titles and unsupported claims such as “lowest price”.
Answer the questions that stop a purchase
- What are the dimensions, capacity or size?
- Which devices or products is it compatible with?
- Which accessories are included or sold separately?
- Is there assembly, installation or a special requirement?
- What warranty is offered, and who handles it?
Make the description easy to scan
Use short paragraphs, headings and bullet points. Explain a feature’s practical use without exaggerating it. Write your own accurate description rather than copying another seller’s claims. Do not describe a different model or variant.
These practices can help customers and search systems understand the listing; they do not determine a guaranteed search position.
